    Uno de los edificios medievales más interesantes y menos estudiados que se conservan en la Sierra de San Vicente son las ruinas de la antigua iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Castillo, en el Cerro del Castillo (Castillo de Bayuela, Toledo). Un edificio que se creó como posible atalaya musulmana y torre defensiva cristiana, para convertirse en la Iglesia Matriz del señorío del Castillo de Bayuela y acabar como patrimonio, lugar de peregrinaje anual. Un edificio con más de mil años de historia que se han intentado resumir en este artículo.

    One of the most interesting and less studied medieval buildings preserved in the Sierra de San Vicente is the ancient church ruins of Nuestra Señora del Castillo, on the Cerro del Castillo (Castillo de Bayuela, Toledo). A building that was created as a possible Muslim watchtower and defensive Christian tower, to become the Mother Church of the manor of Castillo de Bayuela and finish as a heritage, where people pilgrimaged annually. A building with more than a thousand years of history which have tried to summarize in this arcicle.
