Opiniones del profesorado sobre la oferta cultural y de patrimonio en los centros escolares

    Actualmente se observa una demanda social y política por conocer, conservar y proteger el patrimonio cultural.

    Por ello, es necesario seguir investigando sobre el papel del profesorado y los centros educativos en el ámbito de la educa- ción patrimonial. El objetivo principal de nuestro estudio es conocer las opiniones del profesorado sobre la oferta cultural/ patrimonial que se desarrolla en los centros educativos, la valoración que realiza de dichas actividades, así como conocer si creen que el alumnado disfruta y aprende cuando participa a través de un aprendizaje activo. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo un estudio exploratorio, descriptivo de tipo cuantitativo. La muestra está formada por 115 docentes españoles, 87 mujeres y 28 hombres, con una media de edad de 43,63 años (DT = 11,63 y la mayoría de ellos se encuentra laboralmente en activo (84,4%). Los datos se han recogido con una encuesta online. Los resultados señalan que el profesorado tiene una opinión muy favorable hacia las actividades culturales y de patrimonio. Valoran que el alumnado está altamente satisfecho con este tipo de actividades que, además, permiten la adquisición del conocimiento que se enseña. Los resultados son valora- dos desde la perspectiva de la importancia de ofrecer contenidos de educación cultural y patrimonial en todos los niveles educativos ya que facilitan el desarrollo de competencias y valores transversales y, además, conectan al alumnado con los objetivos del desarrollo sostenible (ODS).

    Currently there is a social and political demand to know, preserve and protect cultural heritage. Therefore, it is necessary to continue researching the role of teachers and educational centers in the field of heritage education. The main objective of our study is to know the opinions of teachers about the cultural/heritage offer that is developed in educational centers, the assessment that they make of said activities as well as to know if they believe that students enjoy and learn when they participate through an active learning. For this, an exploratory, descriptive and quantitative study has been ca- rried out. The sample is made up of 115 Spanish teachers, 87 women and 28 men, with a mean age of 43.63 years (SD = 11.63 and most of them are active in the labor market (84.4%). The data has been collected with an online survey. The results indicate that teachers have a very favorable opinion towards cultural and heritage activities. They value that students are highly satisfied with this type of activities which, in addition, allow the acquisition of knowledge. The results are valued from the perspective of the importance of offering cultural and heritage education content at all educational levels, since they facilitate the development of transversal skills and values which, in addition, connect students with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
