    Tanto el Boletín como la Biblioteca de Menéndez Pelayo se han convertido en lugares de memoria: laboratorios donde se crean recuerdos, culturas y tradiciones. Aquí se ensalza, por un lado, el legado de Menéndez Pelayo, a pesar de algunas controversias ideológicas por las que se le ha señalado, y, por otro, la inmensa labor que él y sus compañeros realizaron para impulsar el Boletín de la Biblioteca y el mantenimiento de la revista y la institución. Ambas han marcado al hispanismo internacional por su gran acervo cultural y han plasmado la historia del siglo XX español. En este texto se mencionan también las vicisitudes por las que pasó la revista, al igual que otras, durante la guerra civil y el franquismo, y cómo las superó para convertirse en un referente para el hispanismo mundial.

    Both the Bulletin and the Menéndez Pelayo Library have become places of memory: laboratories where memories, cultures and traditions are created. Here, on the one hand, the legacy of Menéndez Pelayo is extolled, despite some ideological controversies for which he has been singled out, and, on the other, the immense work that he and his colleagues did to promote the Library Bulletin and the maintenance of the magazine and the institution. Both have marked international Hispanism for their great cultural heritage and have shaped the history of the Spanish 20th century. This text also mentions the vicissitudes that the magazine went through, like others, during the civil war and the Franco regime, and how it overcame them to become a benchmark for world Hispanism.
