Resumen de Graphópolis: gráfica y tipografía urbana en Madrid

  Parte del carácter y de la identidad de la ciudad de Madrid reside en los mensajes gráficos y tipográficos quehabitan en sus edificios, sus paredes, sus rótulos, suscalles… Conforman la cultura urbana y son tambiénpatrimonio cultural.Un paseo por las calles del centro de la capital nos permite ver, leer, mirar y conocer la intrahistoria de laciudad. Son ejemplos de lo que la polis nos cuenta delo que ha sido, es y será. En este trabajo se presentaránalgunas muestras de estos “tesoros gráficos”, de letrasurbanitas que señalan, identifican, muestran, informany, por supuesto, también hacen más bella y habitable laciudad que las alberga.Trazando una pequeña ruta por las calles y aledañosdel barrio de La Latina, nos encontraremos con estostrabajos, muchas veces anónimos, creados en diferentes soportes y que merecen la pena ser estudiadosantes de que la mayor parte de ellos desaparezcan desus fachadas.

  Part of the character and of the identity of the cityof Madrid resides in the graphical and typographicalmessages that they live in his buildings, his walls, hislabels, his streets … Form a part of the urban cultureand are also a cultural heritage.A walk along the streets of the center of the capital allows us to see, to read, to look and to know the intrahistory of the city. They are examples of what the polistells us of what has been, it is and it will be. In thiswork there will appear some samples of these “graphical treasures”, of urban letters that indicate, they identify, show, report and, certainly, also they do morebeautiful and inhabitable city than them it shelters.Planning a small route for the streets and boundariesof the neighborhood of La Latina, we will meet theseworks, often anonymous, created in different supportsand that are worth being studied before most of themthey disappear of his fronts.
