Palma de Mallorca, España
The pastoral project of Pope Leo XIII proposed a renewal of Christianity and the dialog with the society. The bishop Pere Joan Campins i Barceló put in practice the papal project at the diocese of Mallorca. Campins’ intention implied the renewal of the biblical studies. Rev. Bartomeu Pascual i Marroig (1875-1967), Campins’ disciple, assumed, among many others, the task of renewing the biblical studies at the Seminary and favoring the knowledge of the Scripture among the faithful. As a professor, disseminator, investigator and pilgrim to the Holy Land he stood out, above all, for the foundation of the Biblical Museum (1910).
