Resumen de Las relaciones entre la historia y el cine y sus condicionantes para la visión del pasado

El presente artículo trata de ofrecer algunas notas interpretativas para historiadores sobre la hermenéutica que requiere una rigurosa investigación con films, sean cuales sean sus tipologías. Del mismo modo que la literatura, la memoria o la oralidad ofrecen sus particulares métodos para comprender el pasado, la cinematografía también aporta su propio relato al conocimiento histórico de una comunidad humana, solo que sujeto a un procedimiento aproximativo de un cariz distinto. Tras caracterizarlo con reflexiones teóricas, se termina por abordarlo en su aplicación práctica con el análisis crítico de dos films ficcionales de reconstitución histórica: Senderos de gloria (Stanley Kubrick, 1957) y Feliz Navidad (Christian Carion, 2005), resultando posible identificar los condicionantes que ambos productos han aportado para el conocimiento de la I Guerra Mundial y de las sociedades coetáneas a su creación.

This paper tries to offer some interpretative notes for historians about the hermeneutics needed for a rigorous investigation with films, whatever its typologies. In the same way like literature, memory or orality offer their particular methods to understand the past, cinematography also brings its own explication to the historical knowledge of a human community, but being subject to a distinct approach procedure. After characterizing it with theoretical reflections, it is finally worked out through a practical application with a critical analysis of two historical reconstitution fiction films: Paths of Glory (Stanley Kubrick, 1957) and Merry Christmas (Christian Carion, 2005), being possible to identify the determinants that both products have given to the knowledge of the World War I and of the societies coetaneous to their creation.
