    Hablar de la Enciclopedia PULGA es retrotraernos a los años 50 del pasado siglo, cuando aparecieron estos libritos que vinieron a revolucionar el mundo de la cultura. De ahí que pueda tener alguna importancia recordar qué y cómo era esta colección que alcanzó la extraordinaria cantidad de 500 números pertenecientes a todos los géneros literarios. En este pequeño trabajo he pretendido dar a conocer la lista completa de los títulos que aparecieron, sus dimensiones, sus precios y los diferentes autores que publicaron en ellos, entre los que destacan Abel Esquiroz, con 23 obras, y Francisco Vicens, con 17. Presento también las recomendaciones a la lectura que aparecen en la portada y contraportada de muchos de los libros, que suponen una invitación a su compra, y algunas opiniones de la prensa del momento.

    Pretendo también que constituya un homenaje a mi padre, de quien recuerdo su afán por adquirir estos libros (y muchos otros) a pesar de las dificultades económicas de la época y por conseguir que yo, todavía un niño, leyera algunos

    To speak of the Enciclopedia PULGA is to go back to the 50s of the last century, when these little books appeared that came to revolutionize the world of culture. Hence, it may be of some importance to remember what and how this collection was, which reached the extraordinary number of 500 issues belonging to all literary genres. In this small work I have tried to present the complete list of the titles that appeared, their dimensions, their prices and the different authors who published in them, among which Abel Esquiroz stands out, with 23 works and Francisco Vicens, with 17.

    I present also the reading recommendations that appear on the front and back covers of many of the books, which are an invitation to purchase them, and some opinions from the press of the moment.

    I also want it to be a tribute to my father, whose desire I remember to acquire these books (and many others) despite the economic difficulties of the time and to get me, still a child, to read some of them.
