Levar os buzzfeed às aulas de literatura: listas e cânone literário para a mediação linguística e cultural em âmbito de Português como Língua Estrangeira

    The recurrent disinterest of our PFL students in literature has led us towards a teaching practice that tries to maintain the essence of the subject, but also to renew the approach from which to work. Based on the belief that the literary text is part of the cultural memory of a specific collective, we consider that one of the ways to make the subject relevant lies in the transmission of the meaning that the canon assumed and still assumes in the Portuguese cultural imaginary, constituting. Therefore, literature appears as a piece of essential knowledge for a student of PFL conceived as a social actor capable of interculturally mediating between languages. The inscription of the canon in the collective memory constitutes a first approach which, we think, is now not only useful, but also confirmed in the light of the development of mediation and the pluricultural competence and, of the new theories on postliterary practices.

    O desinteresse recorrente dos nossos estudantes de PLE pela literatura tem-nos encaminhado para uma prática docente que tenta manter a essência da matéria, mas também renovar o enfoque a partir do qual trabalhar. A partir da crença de que o texto literário se inscreve na memória cultural de um determinado coletivo, especialmente através do ensino do cânone, consideramos que uma das maneiras de tornar relevante a disciplina radica na explicação da relevância que esse cânone tem no imaginário cultural luso, demonstrando ser um conhecimento essencial para um estudante de PLE que se pretende como um ator social capaz de mediar interculturalmente entre línguas.

    Além disso, considerarmos a inscrição do cânone na memória coletiva oferece uma perspetiva didática não só produtiva, mas confirmada à luz do desenvolvimento da mediação e da competência pluricultural ou, noutra ordem de coisas, das novas teorias sobre as práticas pós-literárias.
