Nuestro objetivo es reconstruir los intercambios marítimos entre Valencia y Cartagena a partir de la documentación conservada en los archivos valencianos, en la que se refleja desde finales del siglo XIV dos tipos de comercio, por un lado, los productos prohibidos y en las décadas finales del siglo XV las lanas, el trigo y el alumbre. Son unas relaciones que tienen a Valencia como centro operativo y de contratación, y en los marinos valencianos y cartageneros (a finales del siglo XIV y primeras décadas del XV) y a los vascos (desde mediados de la centuria), junto con los genoveses, sus protagonistas destacados.

Our objective is to reconstruct the maritime exchanges between Valencia and Cartagena from the documentation preserved in the Valencian archives, which reflects two types of trade since the end of the 14th century. On one hand, prohibited products and in the final decades of the 15th century wool, wheat and alum. These are relationships that have Valencia as the operational and contracting center, and in the Valencian and Cartagena sailors (at the end of the 14th century and the first decades of the 15th) and the Basques (since the middle of the century), together with the Genoese, their main characters.
