  • Nowadays there are controls of payment systems for hygienic-sanitary quality (total bacterial count (TBC) and somatic cell count (SCC) milk sheep. However, there is little information about microorganisms groups appearing in milk and their connection with some factors that are involved in livestock production. Because of the value of Manchega sheep milk in Castilla-La Mancha, the aim of the study is to examinated the influence of the season, the farm size and being member of National Breed Association of Manchega Sheep (AGRAMA) over the count of different microorganisms in VKHHS milk Manchega breed. In view of the results, it is showed that total bacteria count that are currently performed in flocks, gives an idea of what is the general hygienic-sanitary level of the farm. However, the differential microbial count is an important indicator for a more accurate assessment of the specific needs of different holdings, linked to different indicators of interest, that affect the increase in final profitability of livestock farming.
