Se presentan los resultados de los estudios realizados sobre la inhumación descubierta durante las excavaciones arqueológicas realizadas en 1992 en el yacimiento arqueológico del Hostalot (Vilanova d'Alcolea, Castelló), identificado como la mansio Ildum. Han consistido en un análisis paleoantropológico, su datación por radiocarbono, el estudio del ADN conservado y una revisión de las piezas del ajuar que acompañaban el esqueleto. Los resultados confirman que se trata de los restos de una mujer de origen germánico perteneciente a una élite que debió morir en un viaje a través de la vía Augusta entre finales del siglo IV y la primera década del siglo V.

An update review of the remains of a female burial discovered during the arhcaeological excavations carried out in 1992 at the archaeological site of Hostalot (Vilanova d'Alcolea, Castelló) identified as the mansio Ildum is presented. The studies have considered of a paleoanthropological analysis, its radiocarbon dating, the study of the preserved DNA and a review of the grave goods that accompanied the skeleton. The results confirm that the archaeological rests belong to an elite woman of Germanic origin who must die on a journey through the Via Augusta between the end of the 4th century and the first decade of the 5th century.
