No one can dispute at this point in the study of the novel that B represents Quevedo’s last version of it, and if there are any changes that are an anomaly with respect to other disrespectful passages in B, it is due to the censorship exercised on the first edition in Saragossa. The problem is to know whether these strange changes introduced by B were introduced by the author himself or by one of his imitators. After having studied all the testimonies with their variants, it is possible to elaborate a stemma with contaminations and to sustain the existence of at least two redactions.
