This article shows that phrases in d’après SN (according to NP) can have three different semantic values: circumstantial modifier, evidential operator, metaenunciative gloss. It proposes a model of these and puts forward the idea that the peripheral occurrences of these phrases, whatever their interpretation, have the syntactic function of adjuncts governed by a proposition. This analysis is based on a ‘broad’ approach to rection as involving selective lexical restrictions. In the appendix, some observations on the diachrony of d’après are presented.

Cet article montre que les syntagmes en d’après SN peuvent revêtir trois valeurs sémantiques différentes : modifieur circonstanciel, opérateur modal médiatif, glose méta-énonciative. Il en propose une modélisation, et expose l’idée que les occurrences périphériques de ces syntagmes, quelle que soit leur interprétation, ont la fonction syntaxique d’adjoints régis par une P. Cette analyse s’appuie sur une conception ‘large’ de la rection comme comportant des restrictions sélectives lexicales. En appendice sont faites quelques observations sur la diachronie de d’après.
