  • This work presents the design and implementation ofa laboratory practice for first course undergraduates ofBachelors of Science, specifically to consolidate concepts relativeto the subject of Physics. The laboratory experience implements aplane whose inclination can be manually modified by the user(student or lecturer), and contains a processing device based onmicrocontroller PIC 18F8722, which manages the acquisition andtreatment of the data supplied by different sensors located alongthe plane. In consequence, the kinetic parameters (speed andacceleration) associated to the fall of a ball rolling down the planecan be automatically and accurately measured. Moreover, thedeveloped system has a radio communication module that allowsit to send information to the student’s laptops if these areprovided with another radio module. Therefore, the experiencecan be performed in the laboratory by students who directlycontrol all the process or by the teacher while the studentsobserve the results in their own laptops. The implementation ofthis practical experience has been carried out as a project forundergraduates in their final course of Electronics Engineering. The designers (students) of this project have been able to see howtheir knowledge in Electronics can help them to implementcomplex applications which can be very useful to teachingactivities.
