This work presents the design and implementation ofan electronic device based on the microcontroller PIC 16F877,which is capable to measure the relative permittivity of liquids.The development of such a measurement prototype, whoseimplementation has been conceived as a project forundergraduates in their final course of Electronics Engineering,allows the students to understand how their knowledge inelectronics can be applied to develop devices useful for otherexperimental disciplines, in this case, an electronic instrument forthe measurement of electrical properties of liquids.
