    Este artículo analiza las diferencias que existen en la conceptualización de la ira y en sus denominaciones en dos poemas donde este sentimiento está muy presente: la Ilíada homérica y la Eneida de Virgilio. El cabal entendimiento del significado de las palabras griegas y latinas, así como del contexto social y filosófico de los poemas, permite reconstruir este campo nocional y entender mejor el papel de la ira en las dos grandes epopeyas.

    This article analyses the differences in the conceptualisation of anger and its denominations in two poems where this emotion is strongly present: the Homeric Iliad and Virgil’s Aeneid. A thorough understanding of the Greek and Latin words that express this emotion, as well as of the social and philosophical context of the poems, allows us to reconstruct this conceptual field and better understand the role of anger in the two great epics.
