Resumen de La fibrosis quística en la infancia y su intervención enfermera

La fibrosis quística es una enfermedad que provoca una alteración histológica en numerosas partes del organismo, siendo las de mayor gravedad las que se observan en el pulmón y páncreas. Presenta un mayor predominio en la infancia, principalmente en niños de raza caucásica.
El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar los diagnósticos e intervenciones de enfermería más eficaces con relación a la fibrosis quística y centrar estas actividades hacia el aprendizaje de los cuidados con el fin de poder brindar un cuidado integral óptimo hacia los pacientes con esta patología, tanto desde las unidades asistenciales como desde la unidad familiar.
Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de los artículos publicados en relación con los diagnósticos e intervenciones de enfermería relacionados con la fibrosis quística y se excluyeron todos aquellos artículos que hablaban exclusivamente del diagnóstico médico, tratamiento médico y cribado de la patología. Las bases de datos utilizadas fueron: PubMed, Cuiden, Science Direct y Scopus, utilizando artículos de habla inglesa y español.
Los resultados encontrados ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de ofrecer no sólo un plan de cuidados hacia el paciente sino también la intervención en el núcleo familiar, ya que hay constancia científica de la importancia que tiene el modo en que la familia afronte esta enfermedad. Es decir, es necesario establecer un enfoque holístico, entendiendo al paciente como un ser que padece una patología que será tratada teniendo en cuenta el entorno y la influencia que éste ejerce sobre él.

Cystic fibrosis is a disease that causes a histological alteration in many parts of the body, being the most serious observed in the lung and pancreas. Presents a mayor predominance in childhood, mainly in Caucasian children.
The objective of this work is to present the most effective nursing diagnoses and interventions in relation to cystic fibrosis and to focus these activities for the learning of the care with the objective of helping a comprehensive patient for patients with this pathology, both from the care units as from the family unit.
To this end, a bibliographic review of the articles published in relation to the nursing diagnoses and interventions related to cystic fibrosis was carried out and all the articles that spoke of the medical diagnosis, the medical treatment and the pathology screening were excluded. The databases were: PubMed, Cuiden, Science Direct and Scopus.
The results found show the need to offer not only a care plan for the patient but also the intervention in the family nucleus, since there is scientific evidence of the importance of the way in which the family faces this disease. That is, it is necessary to establish a holistic approach, understanding that the patient is not a pathology that is treated taking into account the environment and the influence it has on it.
