Resumen de "Sin documentos no hay historia": aprovechamiento del corpus de documentos aragoneses en lengua catalana

  Tanto los textos literarios como los no literarios han sido imprescindibles para el estudio de las lenguas desde una perspectiva diacrónica, pero también como una fuente de información para analizar su variación lingüística interna. Si nos centramos en la realidad lingüística de Aragón, comprobaremos que, a diferencia del castellano o el aragonés, no existen obras literarias medievales escritas en catalán, a pesar de la amplia producción en esta lengua en otros territorios de la antigua Corona de Aragón. Por tanto, para conocer el catalán en Aragón de época medieval y moderna, el filólogo se ve obligado a examinar los textos notariales que se redactaron en la Franja de Aragón entre los siglos XIV, XV y XVI, los cuales se han convertido en instrumentos imprescindibles para el estudio de la historia de la lengua catalana en tierras aragonesas. En este trabajo daremos cuenta de la metodología que utilizamos para la localización y el estudio de un corpus documental redactado por profesionales, así como de las destrezas que son necesarias para enfrentarse a un análisis de estas características.

  Both literary and non-literary texts have been essential for the study of languages from a diachronic perspective, but also as a source of information to analyse the internal linguistic variation of languages. If we focus on the linguistic reality of Aragon, we will see that, unlike Castilian or Aragonese, there are no medieval literary works written in Catalan, despite the extensive production in this language in other territories of the former Crown of Aragon. Therefore, to learn about Catalan in Aragon in medieval and modern times, the philologist is obliged to study the notarial texts that were written in the Aragonese Strip between the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries, which have become essential tools for the study of the history of the Catalan language in Aragonese lands. In this paper we will give an account of the methodology required to locate and study a corpus of documents written by professionals, as well as the skills needed to carry out an analysis of these characteristics.
