Se trata de la carta en la que don Carlos, en unión de su madre doña Juana ordena ejecutar la sentencia pronunciada por el presidente y oidores de la Real Audiencia de Granada el 24 de enero de 1552, por la que se declaran Libres y esentos de todos e cualesquier pechos e derechos servicios e imposiciones ... a los vecinos e moradores de Alcalá la Real y su villa del Castillo de Locubin ... y que les sea guardado el privilegio del rey don Alonso del que en dicha sentencia se hace memoria.
La Intitulatio o Intitulación es aquella parte del preámbulo de los documentos donde aparece el nombre, títulos, posesiones y demás atributos del autor del documento. Los documentos reales solemnes llevan todos el título largo, o grande, del rey y reflejan la Historia de España. Lo hace desde su nacimiento, en los pequeños reinos y condados medievales, hasta su crecimiento y unión definitiva, así como su expansión tanto por Europa, como al otro lado del Océano.

This is the letter in which Don Carlos, together with his mother, Doña Juana, orders the execution of the sentence pronounced by the president and hearers of the Royal Court of Granada on January 24, 1552, by which they declare themselves Free and exempt from all and any chests and rights, services and impositions... to the neighbors and residents of Alcalá la Real and its town of Castillo de Locubin... and that the privilege of King Don Alonso be preserved for them, who is remembered in said sentence.
The Intitulatio or Entitlement is that part of the preamble of the documents where the name, titles, possessions and other attributes of the author of the document appear. The solemn royal documents all bear the long, or great, title of the king and reflect the History of Spain. It does so from its birth, in the small medieval kingdoms and counties, to its growth and definitive union, as well as its expansion both in Europe and across the Ocean.
