El sistema mágico-religioso del Vudú en Haití, ha tenido un proceso de formación en los últimos dos siglos que ha cristalizado en una síntesis, interpretada generalmente según los conocimientos sobre el tema de un autor u otro, en un momento concreto u otro de su evolución. Las influencias de África, Europa, y los propios desarrollos que han tenido lugar en Haití, exigen análisis que clarifiquen qué es el Vudú actual y cómo ha llegado a ser así. Es una religión que se organiza en cada centro de culto, sin estructuras superiores, pero los templos, que tienen peculiaridades propias, respetan un reglamento general (règleman) que se puede estudiar como base de todo el sistema. Aquí tratamos algunos de esos aspectos, importantes para comprender un fenómeno que se extiende más allá de los límites de Haití, y que impregna también el Vudú en Luisiana.

The magical-religious system of Voodoo in Haiti has had a formation process in the last two centuries crystallized in a synthesis, generally interpreted according to the knowledge on the theme of one author or another, at a specific moment or another of his evolution. The influences of Africa, Europe, and the own developments taken place in Haiti, require analysis to clarify what is the current Voodoo and how it has become what it is. It is a religion organized in each cult center, without superior structures but the temples, which have their own peculiarities, respect a general regulation (règleman) that can be studied as the basis of the entire system. Here we deal with some of these aspects, important to understand a phenomenon that extends beyond the limits of Haiti, and that also permeates Voodoo in Louisiana.
