Aceptando la relevancia de los museos de arte contemporáneo en la mejora de la cohesiónsocial, anotaremos que el público no siempre responde o reacciona del modo que cabríaesperar. Ello se traduce en un gran desaprovechamiento de los múltiples beneficios yposibilidades que dichos centros ofrecen, y para cambiar dicha inercia consideramos que elprimer paso a dar consiste en concienciar a los ciudadanos de la valía que posee el arte actualy del papel que juegan los centros que lo acogen en el reforzamiento del sentir democráticode las sociedades (Vilar, 2008). Para ello, incidiremos en propuestas que otorgan un papelmás participativo al espectador y que ayudan a entender la responsabilidad social como partedel patrimonio cultural.

Accepting the relevance of contemporary art museums in improving social cohesion, we willmake note that the public does not always respond or react the way one would expect. Thisresults in a great waste of the many benefits and possibilities that these places provide, andto change this inertia we believe that the first step is to raise public awareness of the valuethat contemporary art has and the role played by those places which welcome it instrengthening the democratic feeling of society (Vilar, 2008). To enable this, we will take acloser look at artistic proposals that give a more participatory role to viewers and help themunderstand social responsibility as part of cultural heritage
