Resumen de El sistema defensivo de la ciudad fenicia de La Fonteta (Guardamar del Segura, Alicante): Campaña de 2018-2019

  Se presentan los resultados de las excavaciones en La Fonteta correspondientes a las campañas de 2018 y 2019. Las actuaciones se han centrado en la zona suroriental, principalmente en la fortificación y los ámbitos y estructuras relacionadas, confirmando la existencia de una muralla de cajones, con torres cuadrangulares, muros de refuerzo y elementos exteriores como un glacis y un antemural. La obra presenta características que evidencian la premura de su construcción que cabe relacionar con los procesos de inestabilidad que afectaron al territorio del Bajo Segura hacia o inicios del VI a. C., evidenciándose remodelaciones posteriores, algunas fechadas hacia el tercer cuarto del siglo VI a. C.

  In diesem Beitrag werden die Ergebnisse der Ausgrabungskampagnen 2018–2019 in La Fonteta vorgestellt. Die Arbeiten konzentrierten sich auf den südöstlichen Bereich, hauptsächlich auf die Befestigungsmauer und die damit verbundenen Gebäuden und Strukturen. Dabei wurde eine Kastenmauer mit viereckigen Türmen, Verstärkungswänden und äußeren Elementen wie einem Glacis und einem Schutzwall dokumentiert. Die Festungsanlage zeigt Merkmale einer flüchtigen Bauart, was auf die Instabilität zurückzuführen ist, die das Gebiet des Bajo Segura gegen Anfang des 6. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. gekennzeichnet hat. Dafür spricht die Umgestaltung der Mauer, die etwa auf das dritte Viertel des 6. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. datiert werden kann.

  The aim of this paper is to present some of the results achieved in the season 2018–2019 in the archaeological site of La Fonteta. Work focused on the southeastern area of the site, mainly on the fortification and related spaces and buildings. The existence of a casematte wall with square towers, reinforcement walls and outer structures such as a glacis and an avant-mur has been confirmed. The structures show some features which indicate its hasty construction, maybe related to instability processes which took place in the lower Segura valley around the early 6th centuries BC. Some subsequent remodeling of the wall was also attested for the third quarter of the 6th century BC.
