    Este estudio analiza las diferentes concepciones de las organizaciones sociales humanas, culminando en el concepto de pueblo, y su relación con el de ciudadanía, así como el papel de ambos en el ejercicio de la soberanía y la capacidad jurídica reconocida, tomando por base la distinción romana entre populus y civis, y los ecos contemporáneos de los mismos.

    This paper analyses the different conceptions on human social organisations, focusing on the concept of people, and its relation to that of citizenship, as well as the role both of them have in the exercise of sovereignty and their recognised juridical capacity, taking the Roman distinction between populus and civis as a framework, together with contemporary iterations of those same concepts.
