Se recogen en este trabajo aspectos fundamentales de la biografía de San Francisco Solano, natural de Montilla, se pondera la geografía patronal por tierras de América, y se aportan nuevos datos que corrigen algunos errores sobre la fundación de la iglesia titular, aportaciones para su erección, llegada de la imagen desde Granada y origen de su festividad.

In this work can be found fundamental aspects of the biography of San FranciscoSolano, a native of Montilla, is considered the patronal geography around American land, andnew data are provided which correct some mistakes about the founding of the titular church,contributions for its erection, the arriving of the image from Granada and origin of their festivity.
