  O obxectivo fundamental deste traballo é ofrecer algunhas reflexións con respecto á variación diatópica estrutural e semántica nas coincidencias fraseolóxicas actuais entre Cuba e Canarias. O tema inscríbese nunha liña investigadora centrada no campo da presenza lingüística canaria na cultura oral cubana, que se leva desenvolvendo con éxito na rexión central de Cuba desde hai máis de 20 anos e que se insire actualmente no campo de investigación do Grupo de Estudos da Fraseoloxía de Cuba (GEFRASCU), fundado no país en época recente. O artigo presta atención á importancia da variación diatópica nas relacións fraseolóxicas entre ambas as rexións da comunidade hispanofalante. Para iso emprégase información fraseolóxica e fraseográfica de ambas as rexións hispanofalantes; e, a partir do método contrastivo, sistematízanse e exemplifícanse diversos tipos de variación diatópica e variación semántica, e achéganse consideracións interesantes sobre a posibilidade de sistematización da variación diatópica e a importancia das coincidencias lingüísticas por canto demostran a continuidade histórica e cultural entre dúas identidades culturais compartidas.

  The main objective of the paper is to offer some reflections about the structural and semantic diatopic variation in the current phraseological coincidences between the spoken languages of Cuba and the Canary Islands. The subject is part of a research line, focused on the field of Canarian linguistic presence in Cuban oral culture. This line of investigation has been successfully examined for more than 20 years in the central region of Cuba and has recently been covered by the Cuban Group of Phraseological Studies (GEFRASCU) headed by the author. The article draws attention to the importance of diatopic variation in the phraseological relationships between both regions of the Spanish-speaking community. To do this, it uses phraseological information from both Spanishspeaking regions. Making use of the contrastive method it systematizes and exemplifies diverse types of diatopic and semantic variations. It arrives at interesting considerations about the possibility of systematizing diatopic variation; it also highlights the importance of linguistic coincidences as they demonstrate the historical and cultural continuity between two shared cultural identities.
