    La búsqueda de opciones para la atención del conflicto social ha ocupado parte de las tareas estatales a lo largo del tiempo. La que prevalece, desde hace casi un siglo, es llevarlos ante un órgano público especializado e imparcial que los dirima con carácter definitivo e inatacable. Pero resolver la controversia no garantiza darle la razón al que la tiene, mucho menos terminar con el conflicto. De ahí la conveniencia de involucrar de modo activo a las partes para que alcancen la solución que mejor convenga a sus intereses. Ésta una de las ventajas de la justicia alternativa, más no la única.

    The search for options for the attention of social conflict has occupied part of the state tasks over time. The one that prevails, for almost a century, is to take them before a specialized and impartial public body that will settle them with a definitive unassailable character. But, resolving the controversy does not guarantee giving the reason to the one who has it, much less ending the conflict. Hence the convenience of actively involving the parties to reach the solution that best suits their interests. This is one of the advantages of alternative justice, but not the only one.
