    En esta comunicación nos centraremos en el conocimiento del Patrimonio Minero de varias comarcas de las tierras alicantinas; concretamente en el relativo a la comarca del Alacantí (cuya capital es la ciudad de Alicante / Alacant), al del Alcoià (con capital en la ciudad de Alcoy) y, finalmente al relativo a la comarca del Comptat (cuya capital es la población de Cocentania). Así, haremos referencia a los trabajos de inventariado comarcal del Patrimonio Geológico y Minero, que hemos estado efectuando en esta comunidad, durante los últimos años.Estas comarcas, se hallan situadas en las zonas centrales de las tierras alicantinas, naturalmente en las zonas meridionales del País Valencià. Así la más meridional de las tres, es la comarca del Alacantí; mientras que el Alcoià ocupa una posición central entre las tres situando la del Comptat en los sectores más septentrionales de las tres, limitando ya con las comarcas valencianas.Por otra parte, todas ellas se ubican plenamente en el Sistema Bético. Predominando los afloramientos de los materiales del Triásico (fundamente con materiales yesosos del Keuper), Jurásico (con abundantes afloramientos de materiales carbonatados), Cretácico (también con afloramientos carbonatados); así como los materiales del Mioceno (representado con afloramientos de materiales arcillosos y arenosos, fundamentalmente). Cabe decir que los materiales triásicos, jurásicos y cretácicos son los que constituyen los afloramientos de las alineaciones montañosas, mientras que los del Mioceno se sitúan en las depresiones.En estas comarcas ha habido diversas actividades mineras; sin embargo las más importantes se relacionan con el uso de los materiales de construcción (hornos de yeso y tejeras) y con los aprovechamientos salinos.Al margen de los anteriores aprovechamientos, también ha habido algunas explotaciones de minerales de hierro, que no han dejado ningún resto patrimonial, digno de ser contemplado.

    In this communication we will focus on the knowledge of the Mining Heritage of several regions of the Alicante lands; specifically in the one related to the region of Alacantí (whose capital is the city of Alicante / Alacant), that of Alcoià (with capital in the city of Alcoy) and, finally, the one related to the region of Comptat (whose capital is the population of Cocentania). Thus, we will make reference to the works of regional inventory of the Geological and Mining Heritage, which we have been carrying out in this community, during the last years.These regions are located in the central areas of the Alicante lands, naturally in the southern areas of the Valencià Country. Thus, the southernmost of the three is the Alacantí region; while the Alcoià occupies a central position among the three, placing that of the Comptat in the northernmost sectors of the three, already limiting the Valencian regions.On the other hand, all of them are fully located in the Betic System. Predominating the outcrops of the Triassic materials (based on gypsum materials of the Keuper), Jurassic (with abundant outcrops of carbonated materials), Cretaceous (also with carbonated outcrops); as well as Miocene materials (represented with outcrops of clay and sandy materials, mainly). It should be said that the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous materials are what constitute the outcrops of the mountainous alignments, while those of the Miocene are located in the depressions.In these regions there have been various mining activities; However, the most important are related to the use of construction materials (plaster and scissors kilns) and saline use.Apart from the previous exploitations, there have also been some iron ore farms, which have not left any heritage remains, worthy of being contemplated.
