Tras una suerte de paréntesis, Cinco esquinas de Vargas Llosa es una vuelta a los orígenes, ya que se relaciona tanto con su fórmula narrativa habitual como con el modelo de la novela de dictador. Este trabajo examina esta red de conexiones, así como la intertextualidad del relato con El señor Presidente de Asturias.
After a kind of parenthesis, Vargas Llosa’s The Neighborhood is a return to the origins, since it is related both to its usual narrative formula and to the model of the dictator novel. This work examines this network of connections, as well as the intertextuality of the novel with Asturias’ Mister President.
