    Se propone una lecturas de los productos ideológicos como indicadores de su uso por las formaciones sociales que en el IV y III milenio a.n.e. ocuparon el territorio de Alcalar. Se aporta una revisión crítica de las imágenes portátiles identificadas hasta el momento en una zona que abarca 30km al este del Cabo de San Vicente, se extiende por Ia Sierra de Monchique y la Bahía de Lagos, e incluye Ia rivera de Bensafrim por el occidente y el rio Arade por el este. En ella se conocen arquitecturas y productos ideológicos semejantes a los documentados en otros sectores del arco atlántico-mediterráneo peninsular, demostrando Ia diseminación de ideas y el uso de imágenes para el control social y Ia gestión del territorio.

    This text makes an approach to ideological products as indicators of their use by the social formations that in the 4th and 3rd millennia BCE occupied the territory where the Alcalar settlement is registered. The aim here is to make a critical review of the portable images until now identified in a territory that some 30 km to the east of Cape St. Vincent, extends between the Monchique mountains and the Lagos Bay, bounded by the Bensafrim river, to the west, and the Arade river, to the east, with the presence of architectures and ideological products similar to those identified elsewhere in the peninsular Atlantic-Mediterranean arch, evidencing the dissemination of ideas and the use of images for social control and territory management.
