    La investigación tiene por objetivo analizar sí Perú es un país competitivo o en detrimento económico desde el ranking de competitividad mundial 2020. Se desarrolló desde un enfoque cuantitativo mediante un tipo descriptiva documental con diseño bibliográfico. El Perú es un país que se encuentra en recuperación en razón de comparar el ranking de competitividad entre 2008 donde ocupaba el puesto 35 y en el 2020, la posición 52, aunque es evidente el detrimento, en comparación al 2019, ha subido 3 peldaños. Siendo allí donde se debe hacer hincapié y analizar los factores que han incidido en tal fin, siendo la credibilidad que ha proyectado el gobierno y la capacidad de hacer negocios; por consiguiente, son elementos a fortalecer en concordancia con el resto que son medidos en el ranking.

    The objective of the research is to analyze whether Peru is a competitive or economically detrimental country from the 2020 world competitiveness ranking. It was developed from a quantitative approach through a descriptive documentary type with bibliographic design. Peru is a country that is in recovery due to comparing the competitiveness ranking between 2008 where it was ranked 35 and in 2020, position 52, although the detriment is evident, compared to 2019, it has climbed 3 steps. This is where the factors that have had an impact on this end must be emphasized and analyzed, being the credibility that the government has projected and the ability to do business; therefore, they are elements to be strengthened in accordance with the rest that are measured in the ranking.
