Resumen de Patología osteoarticular en la cremación fenicia de la fonteta (Guardamar del Segura, Alicante, España)

  En el yacimiento fenicio de La Fonteta (Guardamar del Segura, Alicante) se exhumaron, en un contexto habitacional, restos humanos procedentes de una cremación. La conservación de abundantes fragmentos ha permitido identificar signos de patología osteoarticular, en varias partes del esqueleto. Destaca la fusión de varios arcos de vértebras torácicas. Estas alteraciones pueden relacionarse tanto con la edad del individuo (varón, adulto maduro), como con una probable actividad física forzada (hallazgo en contexto metalúrgico).

  In the Phoenician archaeological settlement of La Fonteta (Guardamar del Segura, Alicante, Spain) were exhumed, within a dwelling context, human remains which was cremated. The preservation of the main part of the remains has allowed to identify proofs of osteoarticular pathology in several parts of the skull. It must be emphasized the fusion of some ares of thoracic vertebras. These alterations could be related to the age of individual (male, middle-aged) as well to the possible forced physical activity (discovery in metallurgic context).
