  En este artículo trataré de ahondar en la figura del artista local Ramón Puyol Román en un periodo clave de su trayectoria vital, aquel que tiene lugar tras el final de la Guerra Civil. Acabada la guerra, no se encontraba entre los vencedores, por lo que comenzó para él un calvario personal que lo llevó a la postración de la cárcel y a un juicio sumarísimo en el que, sorprendentemente, fue juzgado por apoyar la sublevación. Paradojas de la historia.

  Durante este trasiego, una vía de escape la tuvo a través de su obra carcelaria, un testimonio gráfico de primera mano, que, al igual que en el caso de otros artistas represaliados por el franquismo, sirve para situarlo en la escena del drama colectivo de la primera posguerra española.

  Con él se complementa mi anterior trabajo sobre Ramón Puyol carcelario, en el que no se hace referencia al Puyol artista, sino al Puyol represaliado.

  In this article I will try to further explore the figure of the local artist Ramón Puyol Román in a key period of his life, the one that follows the end of the Civil War. Once the war was over, he was not among the victors, so a personal ordeal began for him that led to his being thrown into prison and to a summary trial in which, surprisingly, he was judged for supporting the uprising. Paradoxes of History. During this period, he had a way of evading reality through his prison work, a first-hand graphic account which, as in the case of other artists who were persecuted by the Franco regime, serves to place him in the scene of the collective drama of the first post- war period in Spain. This work complements my previous work on Ramón Puyol in prison, which does not refer to the Puyol artist, but to the Puyol who was subject to repression.
