Resumen de Influencia de conocimientos técnicos de la Escuela de Almadén en la Cuenca Carbonifera del Val de Ariño, Teruel (ENCASO-ENDESA)

La originaria Casa Escuela de Minas de Almadén fundada en 1777 siendo la primera creada en España, ha cumplido este año 240 años de su existencia, la implantación de las enseñanzas de ingeniería minera en nuestro país se realiza por Real Orden de 14 de julio de 1.777, bajo el reinado de Carlos III, la finalidad no era otra que enseñar la Geometría Subterránea a los jóvenes matemáticos que se le remitieran de los reinos de España y de los de América, para instruirlos en la teórica y la práctica. Almadén se convierte entonces en un centro de estudios y experimentación, donde las ideas renovadoras en materia de minería de Europa encuentran caldo de cultivo idóneo para ponerlas en práctica, que a la postre sería el espejo en el cual se reflejaría el resto de centros de enseñanza de la minería en España y de América, haciendo que durante siglos todos los caminos de las minas de España y del mundo conduzcan y partan de Almadén. Durante todos estos años infinidad de vicisitudes han ocurrido, desde un comienzo tímido en una casa alquilada, pasando por un edificio modernista del siglo XVIII hasta ubicarse en un edificio funcional con muchos más espacios, construido en los años 70 que es la ubicación actual de la denominada EIMIA (Escuela de Ingeniería Minera e Industrial de Almadén). Parece que la denominación de Escuela denota cercanía y proximidad sobre todo para la ciudadanía de Almadén, muchos han sido los alumnos tanto nativos como venidos de muchos lugares de España y del mundo en general los que han adquirido conocimientos y formación en esta Escuela, en el transcurso de los años ha variado la denominación de las titulaciones pero no por eso ha sido óbice para que los titulados de esta Escuela hayan tenido una cotización elevada en las empresas que han desempeñado su actividad, en este trabajo como tributo o agradecimiento a la efemérides que celebramos voy a rendir homenaje a una treintena de titulados de esta nuestra Escuela que han desempeñado su tareas profesionales en la cuenca carbonífera del Val de Ariño, en la Comarca de Andorra (Teruel) y concretamente para las empresas ENCASO-ENDESA en su actividad minera durante 70 años en la zona.

The original House-School of Mines of Almadén founded in 1777 being also the first one created in Spain, celebrates this year the 240 years of its existence, the implantation of the mining engineering teachings in our country is performed by the Royal Order of the 14th of July of 1777, under the reign of Carlos III, the purpose was none other than to teach Underground Geometry to the young mathematicians that would be referred to the school from the kingdoms of Spain and America, so as to instruct them in the theory and practice. Almadén then becomes a center of studies and experimentation, where the renewing ideas on the matter of mining in Europe find the suitable breeding grounds to be put in practice. In the future Almadén would become the mirror in which the rest of Spain’s and America’s mining educational institutions would be reflected, making it so that for centuries all the roads of mines in Spain and the world would lead to and start in Almadén. During all these years and infinity of vicissitudes have occurred, from a humble beginning in a rented house, passing through an XVIIIth century modernist building until finally be located in a functional building with much more space, built in the 70s which is also the current location of the EIMIA (Escuela de Ingeniería Minera e Industria de Almadén), which stands for “Mining Engineering and Industrial School of Almadén”. It seems that the denomination of the School indicates closeness and proximity especially for the citizens of Almadén, many students have acquired knowledge and training in this School, both native and those who came from other parts of Spain or the world. Over the years the denominations of the degrees have varied but this was no impediment for the graduates of this School to have a high value in the companies where they have executed their activities, in this work as a tribute or an acknowledgement to the event we are celebrating today I would like to pay tribute to thirty graduates of our School that have conducted their professional tasks at the carbon sink in the Val de Ariño, in the Comarca de Andorra (Teruel) and specifically for the companies ENCASO_ENDESA in their mining activity over 70 years in the area.
