  Tabasco, estado del sureste de México, posee diferentes tipos de artesanías, dentro de las que se contempla la denominada “tira bordada”, la cual representa parte de su cultura, identificación y pertenencia. El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer las raíces y costumbres culturales asociadas a este recurso patrimonial de las “tiras bordadas”como parte de la identidad culturalde esta región. Se realizó unainvestigación mixta, exploratoria y descriptiva,en la que se pudo concluir que existe poca difusión y mínimas acciones de promoción del producto y la percepción de la artesaníacomo patrimonio culturaly como recurso turístico potencial. Se recomienda, en este sentido,promocionarla para integrarla en la oferta turística del destinotanto a nivel regional como nacionaly convertirla en un atractivo turístico de primer orden.

  Tabasco, a state in southeastern Mexico, has different types of handicrafts, among which the “embroidered strip”is contemplated, which represents part of its culture, identification and belonging. The research objective was to know the roots and customs through the “embroidered strips”as part of the cultural identity, to be considered a heritage.A mixed investigation was carried out in which it was possible to conclude that there is little diffusion and minimal actions to promote the product and the perception of crafts as cultural heritage and as a potential tourist resource. In this sense, it is recommended to promote it to integrate it into the tourist offer of the destination both at a regional and national level and to make it a first-rate tourist attraction.
