Las acciones de protección y divulgación sobre el patrimonio geológico aragonés quedan constatadas en el Decreto 274/2015 del Gobierno de Aragón. Por otro lado, el Plan Aragonés de Estrategia Turística 2016-2020 propone el turismo ligado al conocimiento como una tipología turística innovadora en esta comunidad autónoma. Ambos documentos avalan y apoyan firmemente aquellas acciones que fomenten el acercamiento de la Geología al público general a través del sector turístico. Desde Qeteo trabajamos para hacer realidad este hecho puesto que el patrimonio geológico aragonés representa, en gran medida, los diferentes paisajes de esta Comunidad Autónoma. La asociación de los conceptos lugar de interés geológico y recurso turístico es viable, aunque no para todo el patrimonio geológico catalogado. La valoración de 20 Lugares de Interés Geológico de Aragón como recurso turístico es un estudio en el que se plasma dicha viabilidad. De este modo, las instituciones competentes, en materia turística, tienen un primer inventario sobre el que continuar desarrollando el geoturismo en Aragón.

The protection and spread actions on the geological heritage of Aragón are found in the decree 274/2015 of the Government of Aragon. On the other hand, the 2018-2020 Plan of Aragon tourist strategy proposes tourism linked to knowledge as an innovative tourist typology in this region. Both documents support those actions that encourage to share the geology with the general public through the tourism sector. Qeteo works to make this real since The Geological Heritage of Aragón represents the different landscapes of this Region. The Association of the concepts: site of geological interest and tourist resource is feasible, although is not for all the geological heritage cataloged. The valuation of 20 sites of geological interest in Aragón as a tourist resource, is a research in which this feasibility is proved. In this way, the competent institutions in tourism, have a first inventory to continue developing the geotourism in Aragón.
