    En el siguiente artículo se intenta visibilizar las situaciones de violencia a la que en muchas ocasiones están sometidas las mujeres con discapacidad, por el hecho de ser mujer y tener una discapacidad. Una violencia que va más allá del ámbito privado donde solemos enmarcar lo que habitualmente denominamos violencia de género, y que en ocasiones es difícil de identificar, dado que está normalizada no sólo por la sociedad, sino también por el entorno de la mujer e, incluso en ocasiones, por ella misma. Para lograr nuestro objetivo, analizamos las escasas cifras existentes que muestran la virulencia de esta violencia, y atendemos a los factores y las consecuencias principales que conforman dichas situaciones en la trayectoria vital de estas mujeres, partiendo de la premisa del desconocimiento que existe de su realidad y sus necesidades, como factor sostenedor de la discriminación de la que son objeto.

    This article tries to make visible the situations of violence to which women with disabilities are often subjected, due to the fact that they are women and have a disability. A violence that goes beyond the private sphere where we usually frame what we usually call gender violence, and that is sometimes difficult to identify, since it is normalized not only by society, but also by the environment of women and even sometimes by herself. To achieve our objective, we analyze the few existing figures that show the virulence of this violence, and we pay attention to the factors and the main consequences that make up these situations in the life trajectory of these women, starting from the premise of the ignorance that exists of their reality and their needs, as a sustaining factor of the discrimination to which they are subjected.
