¿Qué hay detrás del pensamiento artístico? La siguiente propuesta plantea una aproximación al mundo de la fotografía en base a la experiencia de una serie de encuentros con artistas durante una estancia en la Universidad de California, Berkeley. No hay nada mejor para responder a preguntas complejas que abordarlas desde un punto de vista multifocal, y la colaboración con varios fotógrafos estadounidenses nos ayuda a establecer formas de mirar que van incluso más allá del arte. Con este estudio queremos dar testimonio de la investigación artística desarrollada en los encuentros y visitas a estudios de fotógrafos americanos que nos abrieron las puertas para compartir su particular visión de la naturaleza y de la transformación del mundo en cada una de sus fotografías, revelándonos nuevas soluciones en la proyección y producción de obras. El recorrido de estos encuentros nos lleva a explorar el mundo de los fotógrafos Peter Goin, Stephen Galloway, Jack Fulton y Richard Misrach, cuyos modos de ver y construir la imagen se proyecta mediante una variada metodología de trabajo que fluctúa entre la invención y la documentación. Sin olvidar la humanidad implícita en sus palabras y acciones.

What is behind art thought? An approach to photography world based on encounters with artists experienced during a research stay at the University of California, Berkeley is addressed throught this study. There is nothing better than a multifocal point of view while collaborating with American photographers to answer complex questions like the aforementioned one, so that it helps us find ways of seeing that evolve even beyond art. Writing this article means to bear withness of the research developed during encounters and visits to artists’ studios in the United States. The included photographers shared their particular vision of nature and transformation of the world through their work and revealed new solutions in the way of thinking and creating their photographs. This journey takes us to explore the world of photographers Peter Goin, Stephen Galloway, Jack Fulton and Richard Misrach, whose ways of seeing and creating is reflected through a varied work methodology that fluctuates between invention and documentation. Without forgetting the humanity implicit in their words and actions.
