En el momento de escribir estas páginas (enero de 2021) está pendiente de su tramitación en elSenado la Proposición de Ley Orgánica de regulación de la eutanasia aprobada por el Congresode los Diputados el 17 de diciembre de 2020. El objeto de este trabajo no es analizar en profundidad el contenido de la Proposición aprobada por el Congreso, sino estudiar en qué medidaestá justificada su articulación como desarrollo de un derecho fundamental, en particular de losderechos reconocidos en el artículo 15 de la Constitución española (CE) a la vida y a la integridadfísica y moral.

The time of this writing (January 2021), the Organic Law Proposal on the Regulation of Euthanasia, passed by the Congress of Deputies on 17th December 2020, is pending before the Senate forits final approval. The aim of this paper is not to study in depth the content of the aforementionedproposal but analyze to what extent regulating the euthanasia as a concrete development of fundamental rights to life and physical and moral integrity, provided for in article 15 of the SpanishConstitution, is justified.
