    El presente ensayo busca dar cuenta de la naturaleza de un conjunto de reflexiones sobre diversas realidades presentes dentro del pensamiento Latinoamérica actual haciendo referencia los límites conceptuales e institucionales a los cuales se enfrenta el pensamiento latinoamericano. Este enfrentamiento, tal como veremos, pondrá de relieve la fragmentariedad, irreductibilidad, provisionalidad y necesaria interrelación a la cual estarían sometidas las formas de pensamiento que busquen dar cuenta de lo latinoamericano así como también el poder que este tipo de reflexión posee para reconocerse heredera de otras tradiciones e intentar transformarlas.

    The present essay aims to review the idea of Latin America according to different academic traditions and disciplines regarding their limitations and conceptual standpoints. Firstly, the relationship between those traditions and standpoints with an institutional context will be regarded. Secondly, the conflict between those standpoints and fragmentariness, irreducibility and temporariness of Latin American thought is remarked. Thirdly, the capability of Latin American thought of recognizing itself as heir of different traditions always under permanent review and transformation will be considered.
