El presente artículo tiene como objeto analizar el significado emocional del abuelazgo temprano e inesperado a partir de la base de datos de una investigación precedente, realizada en cuatro zonas del oriente del departamento de Caldas- Colombia, en el año 2014, en la cual participaron abuelas y abuelos, agentes educativos, niñas y niños, a través de grupos focales, entrevistas a profundidad y talleres. Desde el lente del abuelazgo y las emociones se realizó un proceso de selección, decantación y sistematización de la información registrada que fue sometida a combinaciones teóricas, asociaciones y transferencias conceptuales y metodológicas con el fin de construir un acercamiento hermenéutico en torno al significado emocional de este particular proceso de vida personal y familiar. Un mapa vital, complejo que hace visible la ambigüedad y ambivalencia emocional alrededor de la pertenencia familiar, el peso del linaje parental y la proyección de la vida.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the emotional significance of early and unexpected granny, based on the database of a previous investigation, conducted in four areas of the east of the department of Caldas-Colombia, in the year 2014. Research involving grandmothers and grandparents, educational agents, girls and boys, through focus groups, in-depth interviews and workshops. From the lens of the grandparenting and emotions was carried out a process of selection, decanting and systematization of the recorded information that was subjected to theoretical combinations, associations and conceptual and methodological transfers in order to build a hermeneutic approach around the emotional significance of this particular process of personal and family life. A vital, complex map that makes visible the ambiguity and emotional ambivalence around family belonging, the weight of the parental lineage and the projection of life.
