Método y conocimiento de la ciencia política en Colombia

    En el presente artículo nos propusimos reflexionar y aclarar algunos fundamentos epistemológicos y metodológicos de la ciencia política, precisando la forma como se han aplicado en Colombia, sin renunciar a una visión más abstracta del tema, mediante una investigación teórico-práctica. Realizamos una discusión epistemológica en el escenario de la ciencia política, disciplina fundamental para explicar el comportamiento social, discusión centrada en tres elementos que consideramos clave: uno, el sujeto entendido en función de las diferentes perspectivas de estudio del hecho político; dos, el Estado y el poder político como objetos de estudio; y tres, los diferentes métodos que usualmente se utilizan en Colombia en las Facultades de ciencia política y de Derecho, donde el estudio se hace con mayor rigor.

    Así, partimos de diferentes preguntas sobre ¿cómo se definen las escuelas de ciencia política?, ¿cuáles son las preferidas?, ¿cuáles son los principales temas de interés?, y ¿cuáles son los métodos más usados en Colombia?

    In this article we set out to reflect and clarify some epistemological and methodological foundations of political science. The goal is to specify the way in which they have been applied in Colombia, without giving up a more abstract vision of the subject, through a theoretical-practical investigation. We conducted an epistemological debate on the stage of political science, a fundamental discipline to explain social behavior, with a discussion centered on three elements that we consider to be key:

    one, the subject itself as understood in terms of the different study perspectives of the political fact; two, the State and its political power as objects of study; three, the different methods that are usually used in Colombia in the Political Science and Law University Faculties, where the study is carried out with greater rigor. Thus, ¿we start from different questions about how are schools of science defined?, ¿which are preferred?, ¿what are the main topics of interest? and finally, ¿what are the most used methods in Colombia?
