    En el ámbito del deporte de elite evaluar la distribución temporal de las acciones de juego desarrolladas en un partido resulta de gran relevancia. El análisis de la estructura temporal implica registrar el tiempo de esfuerzo total o la duración total del juego o su duración real. La relación entre el tiempo total de juego y el tiempo real determina la carga de trabajo. Esta investigación ha analizado la estructura temporal y determinadas acciones de juego realizadas durante el campeonato de España absoluto 2007 masculino y femenino. Los datos obtenidos revelan diferencias estadísticamente significativas en los tiempos de pausa entre juegos. El análisis de las acciones de juego y de la estructura temporal son marcadores muy interesantes para comprender con mayor exactitud los requerimientos físicos y fisiológicos necesarios en esta especialidad deportiva.

    In the field of elite sport, the evaluation of the temporal distribution of the play actions developed in a match is of great interest. The analysis of the temporal structure implies registering the total effort time or total match duration and the real play time. The relationship between the total time and the real or movement time determines the load of the existent work. This research evaluated the temporal structure and some play actions of 2007 male and female absolute Spanish championships. Data recorded significant differences between real play and rest times (p>0.05). The analyses of temporal game structure and play actions are of great interest for understanding table tennis physicals and physiological requirements.
