    En esta reseña se sugiere una lectura en clave historiográfica del libro Aby Warburgy la imagen en movimiento (2017), de Philippe-Alain Michaud. La edicióncastellana de este profético trabajo ofrece una interpretación polémica de laobra warburguiana. Tomando como punto de partida una original filiación entrelos inicios de la iconología y las primeras experiencias cinematográficas,Michaud señala cómo las investigaciones warburguianas desembocaron enuna teoría sobre el movimiento como forma de investigación. Esta reseña siguelos pasos de tal hipótesis y ofrece una adenda crítica acerca de la función quetuvo, en la obra de Warburg, ese peculiar viaje que intentó poner en movimientoa la historia del arte decimonónica.

    This review suggests a historiographic interpretation of the book Aby Warburgand the Image in Motion (2017) by Philippe-Alain Michaud. The Spanish editionof this prophetic work offers a controversial interpretation of the Warburguianwork. Starting from an original connection between the beginnings of theiconology and the first cinematographic experiences, Michaud points out howthe Warburguian investigations fall into a theory about movement as a formof investigation. This review follows the steps of this hypothesis and offersa critical addendum about the role played in Warburg’s work for this peculiarjourney that tries to set in motion the Art History of the nineteenth century.
