Resumen de Entrepreneurial profiles in the Transition to democracy in Spain
The Transition to democracy was an event of the first magnitude in the political and economic history of Spain in the 20th century. There were various protagonists of these events who, at least in part, continue to have an influence in the country nowadays. Among them, worthy of note was the participation of professionals from different areas who dedicated some years of their career to public life at a moment of change, uncertainty and hope after the end of the dictatorship. In this chapter, the role of some entrepreneurs who played a notable part in Spanish politics at that time is studied. The influence of their professional career, their ideas concerning enterprises and the public sector, and their management capabilities are worthy of special attention in this analysis.
