Resumen de ¿Y los hombres?

En este artículo se llama la atención sobre la necesidad de tener en cuenta la experiencia de los hombres dentro de los estudios feministas, como una forma de obtener más información y poder contrastarla con la obtenida hasta el momento, así como de dar lugar a nuevos abordajes teóricos de problemáticas comunes o no a hombres y mujeres. Dos temas son desarrollados de manera específica: el relativo a la interpretación de las diferencias de salud entre hombres y mujeres, y la aparición de los llamados ‘nuevos hombres’ y su responsabilización en cuanto al cuidado de criaturas, enfermos y ancianos.

Artikulu honetan ikerketa feministetan gizonen esperientzia kontuan hartzearen beharra defenditzen da. Era honetan, informazio gehiago eskuratu eta orain arte daukagunarekin kontrastatu ahal izango dugu; beste aldetik, honek gizonen edota emakumeen problematiken teorizazio berriak sortzea erreztuko digu. Bi gai landuko dira batipat: gizonen eta emakumeen osasun desberdintasunen interpretazioei dagokiena, eta ‘gizon berriak’ deiturikoena, eta honekin batera beraien ardura umeen, gaixoen eta zaharren zainketaz.

In the following article attention is drawn to the need for taking into account the experience of men within feminist studies as a means of gathering more information and the ablity to contrast this with that gathered up to now, and also to give rise to the new theoretical approaches to problems which may or may not be common to men and women. Two themes are specifically developed: that related to the interpretation of differences in health between men and women, and the appearance of the so-called «new man» and the degree of responsibility with regard to childcare and the care of the sick and the aged.
