La cesión del Registro Civil a los registradores mercantiles plantea muchos riesgos para el cuerpo registral. Si la solución al problema de la financiación resulta un fracaso y/o un escándalo, la imprescindible intervención del Estado salvador se puede llevar por delante con mucha facilidad al menos el estatuto personal de los registradores implicados. ¿A qué se debe entonces esta pasión por el riesgo? Quizás no lo sepamos todo. Entre las cosas que no sabemos está la empresa que va a resultar beneficiaria del proceso de contratación de la creación y mantenimiento del sistema informático único aplicable a todos los registros. Siendo un contrato de relevancia económica muy significativa, las personas que anticipen la posibilidad de resultar agraciadas con su asignación pueden disponer de incentivos especiales para apoyar la apuesta que esta cesión implica

Transferring the Registry Office to mercantile registrars poses many risks for the registrars’ body. If the solution to the funding problem proves to be a failure and/or a scandal, the necessary intervention of the Government as saviour might sweep away at least the personal status of the registrars involved. What is the reason behind these risky ways? We may not know everything. Among those things that we don’t know is the name of the company beneficiary of the contracting process for the development and maintenance of the single computer system to be used in all registries. Due to the economic significance of this contract, those who reckon they might be awarded the contract may have special incentives to support the bid this transfer implies
