Resumen de On the stability of the motion for a neo-Hookean system
It is well known that the vibrations are a major cause for the instability in the mechanical systems and major source of noises. In this paper we propose a simple system with two degrees of freedom based on a non-linear elastic element. For this system, it is proved in the present paper that the motion isstable, but not asymptotically stable. A comparison between the non-linear case and the linear case isperformed, and for the both cases the eigenpulsations are also determined. All theoretical results arevalidated by numerical simulation.
