The Esparraguine of Jumille (Murcia, Spain) is a geological fluorapatite with an important substitution of Ca2+ ions by Sr2t, Ce3+ and others ions. In this work we will emphasize the usefulness of Raman Spectroscopy as a tool for the characterization of these impurities, i.e. their nature and local symmetry.
