Resumen de Fantasía, placer y existencia en la estética árabe clásica

Me propongo analizar en este artículo las funciones centrales y generalmente positivas que se concede a los placeres sensoriales en los discursos estéticos del islam árabe clásico al caracterizar al ser humano (insān) y la existencia (wuŷūd), partiendo de la poesía preislámica y del Corán, y la conversión del vocabulario y las imágenes relacionadas con las aguas, el vergel y la figura femenina en retóricas representativas de los ideales del poder por parte de la literatura cortesana y de arqui-texturas como las de la Alhambra. Al mismo tiempo, exploro el papel lúdico y pedagógico que la falsafa concedió a la fantasía y a las artes miméticas, anteponiendo o no la fruición estética a la finalidad moral del individuo como ser social y racional, y concluyo con algunas consideraciones sobre la dimensión ontológica que el sufismo otorgó a la poesía y las artes dentro de su gnosis gobernada por una Imaginación capaz de unir los contrarios y superar las dicotomías de la lógica.

In the present article I set out to analyse the central and generally positive functions that are offered to the sensory pleasures in the aesthetic discourses of classical Arab Islam when they characterise human beings (insān) and existence (wuŷūd), basing themselves on pre-Islamic poetry and the Koran, on the conversion of vocabulary and images related to water, gardens and the feminine figure in rhetoric representative of the ideals of power in court literature and on “archi-texts” such as the Alhambra. At the same time, I explore the ludic and pedagogical role that falsafa gave to fantasy and the mimetic arts, giving preference, or not, to aesthetic fruition in the moral purpose of the individual as a social and rational being, and I conclude with some thoughts on the ontological dimension that Sufism instilled in poetry and the arts and within its gnosis governed by an Imagination able to unite contrasting elements and overcome the dichotomies of logic.
