Resumen de Análisis de la problemática de la contaminación de acuíferos por fluidos densos no miscibles con el agua

Due to little attention paid in Spain to aquifer pollution from non aqueous fluids immiscible withwater, specially dense ones, along with the existence of a wide variety of arising national and euro-pean laws to monitor, control and eliminate this pollution, probably makes this nowadays one ofthe greates problems in water bearing formations located in the vincinity of urban, industrial andmilitary developement areas, as it is world wide. Problems derived from its existence, most important legal regulations and the possibility of characterizing this kind of pollution with a variety ofconventional and innovative approaches and techniques in order to plan remediation strategies arepresented in a summarized way in this paper.
